Description

  • Partner with the JLLT leadership team to create category strategies that align with JLLT's key fundamental plans whilst leveraging growing expenditure to have commercial advantage
  • Develops & regularly maintains/up-dates short-, mid- and long-term category strategy globally, linking this strategy with overall business strategy/objectives, in alignment with departmental stakeholders (C-suite)
  • CD has and/or forges key strategic relationships with (strategic) suppliers/industry leaders and develops those relationships on behalf of JLL being mindful of long-term mutually beneficial and ethical objectives as well as providing the business with access to supplier innovation
  • Category Director is responsible for leading the approval process for third party expenditure. This includes presenting the deal to senior leaders in the business such as the JLLT CEO, Global CFO and GlobaL CPO
  • CD is leading key strategic procurement projects and provides expert advice and guidance to the JLLT leadership team. Advice has expanded from pricing and commercial principles to incorporate aligning supplier/partner strategies to make/buy decisions & managing sensitivities where JLL's strategy could create direct conflict against the suppliers value proposition
  • The CD will recommend the qualification of appropriate service providers/supply partners to ensure that we have the best service provision available across the region to deliver value to our internal and sometimes also external clients
  • The CD is the 'ambassador' of best practice, usage of available technology (e-sourcing), innovation and initiatives through to the country/account sourcing managers, across the stakeholder community and optimizes the cost and quality of our services
  • Identifying and building solutions that can help to manage tail spend below $100k. This empowers stakeholders to get value for money for more spend
